A semiconductor clamp is a clamping mechanism used to provide even pressure for the proper operation of the semiconductor device in a certain range. Clamps can be used with a variety of heat sinks and bus bars to provide and maintain adequate surface contact area for greater electrical and thermal conductivity.
Markel offers high quality precision press-pack semiconductor clamps accommodating devices having mounting surfaces from 19 mm to 90 mm with forces ranging from 4kN to 110kN. The clamps utilize Belleville washers using a series and parallel arrangement to achieve the required clamping force. Insulators extruded from a high performance crystalline polymer provide dielectric and mechanical compressive strength and also allows for high temperature operation.
